This horn has toured around the country and been played in many big bands as the original owner was a touring professional musician in the Southwestern part of the U.S. The 2nd owner, whom is now selling it, bought it from his estate years ago when he passed and played and maintained it. Original lacquer with no major body trauma ever and only one little resolder on the F# guard, this horn is a GREAT physical specimen with most of it's lacquer remaining. The neck, while not original to this horn, is a 51xxx SBA neck and pairs INCREDIBLY well with this saxophone. We don't exactly know why the original owner ended up with this neck, but our guess is that it just played well with this one and he possibly swapped it with another member in his big band. The neck is also original lacquer and serialed. It has a hint of pull down, but it's very very minor and is fine as it is. The horn is playing up and down, but due to the fact that it still has a few original pads in it (low B and Bb) we'd recommend just getting an overhaul done so it will play in TOP condition.
